Ketamine Journey
Ketamine Journey - Preparation Meditations
Below you will find a set of audio recordings designed to enhance and accompany your Ketamine journey.
These include several preparatory and integration guided meditations intended for use before, during and after your Ketamine experience. They combine relaxation, suggestion, and brain-entrainment beat stimulation to induce a mild altered state of consciousness. This process helps condition your nervous system for the experience ahead and establishes a familiar internal rhythm you may recognize during the Ketamine experience itself.
Listening to these meditations will allow you to become acquainted with non-ordinary states and begin identifying themes or intentions you may wish to explore during the experience.
Guided Meditation Schedule
Guided Meditation 1
Preparation (22)
This general preparatory meditation introduces you to altered states of consciousness. It gently conditions the nervous system, enhances introspective receptivity, and familiarizes you with the rhythms of non-ordinary awareness.
You may listen to this session as often as needed in the days or weeks prior to your Ketamine session to cultivate familiarity and comfort with the process.
Guided Meditation 2
Goal Visualization (28)
This guided meditation supports the emergence of meaningful therapeutic themes and intentions. Through deep relaxation and internal exploration, it helps clarify what you may wish to examine, release, or receive during your Ketamine session experience.
Use this meditation regularly in the lead-up to your session. Repetition can deepen insight, prime imaginal engagement, and increase the efficacy of the Ketamine experience itself.
Guided Meditation 3
Pre-Session Conditioning (15)
This session is designed for use immediately prior to your treatment. It prepares your mind and subconscious to fully receive the therapeutic effects of ketamine. It also aligns your internal state with the rhythms you will experience during the journey.
Play this meditation the same day as your scheduled session, ideally just before arrival or while settling in. It acts as a transitional space between daily awareness and the Ketamine experience.
Guided Meditation 4
Ketamine Experience Session (30)
This audio accompanies the beginning of your ketamine journey. It uses carefully calibrated binaural beats and guided imagery to facilitate a smooth transition into a receptive, imaginal state. This audio is included here for your review only, as it is not intended for use outside of the session itself. Your session guide will supervise this stage, will instruct you on use, and may adapt timing as needed.
At the midpoint, it will cue you to administer your lozenge. The audio will continue through the initial rise of the experience and conclude shortly after the lozenge is removed.
After this audio for your Ketamine experience ends, you will continue in silence through the peak and return phases of your journey, followed by a live integration session with your session guide.
Guided Meditation 5
Post-Session Integration Session (30)
This audio is for use in the days and weeks after the conclusion of the ketamine experience. It uses carefully calibrated binaural beats and guided imagery to facilitate integration of the entire Ketamine experience and insights gained therein.
Your session guide will continue to work with you to integrate your journey, and this audio will supplement that work between sessions.
Brain Entrainment via Binaural / Monaural Beats
These audio meditations features right hemisphere-biased binaural beats, or monaural beats, at 6.5 Hz (theta), layered with spectrally filtered ambient textures to support asymmetric entrainment and imaginal processing.
To support reorientation and integration, all meditations include a final frequency rise to 12 Hz (alpha) near the end. It is important to listen to the complete recording to allow a full return to ordinary processing.
Because entrainment beats rely on precise stereo phase differences, audio must be played back in full-fidelity form to remain effective. Use only wired stereo headphones. Playback through speakers (even studio monitors) or Bluetooth headphones introduces latency and phase distortion, which compromises the brain’s ability to perceive the beat correctly.
Recommended Guidelines
Before beginning, ensure you are in a quiet space where you will not be disturbed.
Use wired stereo headphones, preferably over-ear models that reduce external noise. Wear them with correct orientation—left channel on your left ear—as reversed placement may alter the intended effects. If you do not have wired headphones and wish to purchase a set, then we can recommend* these reasonably priced pair on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HBBF6FR
Block out light as much as possible. A full blackout mask, such as a Mindfold eye mask*, is ideal, though a darkened room will suffice: https://www.amazon.com/MindFold-Relaxation-Mask/dp/B010WC5UNW
Make sure you are warm, comfortable, rested, and neither hungry nor overfull.
Use the restroom beforehand, and wear loose-fitting, non-restrictive clothing.
If possible, other than the device you are viewing this page on, power down nearby electronics such as other computers, clocks, and radios, and silence all mobile devices.
It is preferable to not use these meditations close to bedtime.
